Company history

The first and largest plastic production in Armenia immediately catches the eye with its rich nature - a large part of the territory with an area of about 3 hectares is planted with flowers and fruit trees. This may seem incredible, but becomes understandable when you get to know the founder, Varuzhan Khalatyan. He dedicated much of his life to greening his beloved city, and at a certain point, due to life circumstances, he started plastic production.

In the early 1990s, there were no plastic containers in Armenia. Dairy products were sold in glass bottles, the unsanitary condition of which was often discussed. Only a few companies offered plastic, hygienic food containers, thanks to Varuzhan Khalatyan's efforts. This proposal was approved. Plastic production began in Armenia in 1995.

At first, only members of Varuzhan Khalatyan's family worked - his wife, son, daughters, and now the company employs more than 500 people. The first well-known plastic container was a 200-gram sour cream cup, then a half-liter matzoon container. At first, only 3 types of plastic containers were produced, and today this number exceeds 1500.

Success does not come easily, but the key to success is completing the task. Varuzhan Khalatyan has always been persistent and never left his business unfinished. “My dear father always said: if you tighten your belt and work hard, you will definitely succeed,” V. Khalatyan recalls.

Today, the company Oval Pack is also involved in plastic recycling and uses recycled material to produce boxes, drainage nets, stone molds, and other products. Oval Pack is expanding every day. To meet the growing demand, the plant constantly upgrades its equipment. The company's development plan includes the production of paper packaging, for which the demand and need are increasing every day.

Today, Oval Pack is striving to meet the needs of consumers and is one of the largest taxpayers in Armenia. Oval Pack is doing everything possible to increase the economic growth of our country.
